Meet the Greeters:
Jasper, Harry, and Sonny

If you’ve ever visited our home for an appointment, you’ve probably met the boys — Jasper, Sonny, and Harry. They’re big, friendly, and absolutely convinced that every visitor is here specifically to see them. None of them are “alpha” dogs; they just go with the flow and join in on whatever is happening.

Because they’re all on the larger side, the initial greeting can look a little chaotic — three big dogs all trying to say hello at once. People often ask if they’re friendly. By the time they’re ready to leave, they’ve usually made three new best friends.

Jasper — The Gentle Giant

Jasper is our 9‑year‑old Great Pyrenees and the senior member of the greeting team. His story didn’t start easy — he was in a kill shelter in Tennessee when we found him. All we had was a single picture and a hope that he’d be a good fit. We had him transported all the way up to Massachusetts, not knowing anything about his personality. The moment he arrived, we knew we’d made the right choice.

Before we moved to Florida, Jasper proudly served as the greeter in our Massachusetts store. With his size and protective nature, he can look intimidating at first, but anyone who’s met him knows he’s really just a soft, lovable giant.

He loves cold weather, loves to “talk,” and loves meeting people at outdoor markets and festivals. Despite his size, he’s not dominant — when he and Harry play, he’ll often take a submissive posture just to let Harry “win.” That’s Jasper: big, gentle, loyal, and always ready to make someone smile.

Sonny — The Tongue‑Out Troublemaker

Sonny is our 4‑year‑old Newfoundland mix, with a little Great Pyrenees and a little pit bull in the blend. We adopted him from a rescue here in Florida, and from day one he’s been equal parts sweetheart, clown, and mystery.

Most photos of Sonny show him with his tongue hanging out — because that’s just how he looks most of the time. It’s his signature expression: relaxed, goofy, and completely unbothered.

Sonny has two speeds: full‑blast rocket and absolute slug. When he wants to run, he’s shockingly fast — fast enough that Harry may have finally met his match. But when he’s done, he melts into the floor like warm butter. He’s extremely food‑motivated, unpredictable with other dogs, and full of personality.

Harry — The Houdini Cuddle‑Bug

Harry is our 3‑year‑old greeter, and unlike the other boys, he didn’t come from a shelter — he just showed up one day. We first noticed him running along the outside of our fence while Sonny ran on the inside, the two of them racing like old friends. We assumed he belonged to the neighbor across the street.

Then he started tunneling under the fence. Then we found him sleeping on our back deck. When we finally talked to the owner, she shrugged and said we should just keep him. So we did.

We named him Harry — short for Harry Houdini — because we had no idea how he kept getting into the yard.

Harry is our lazy slug. He can move when he wants to, but most of the time he’s happy to nap, snore, and soak up attention. And he loves attention. If someone else is getting pets, Harry will wedge himself right into the middle of it. He’s a world‑class cuddler and proudly jealous when affection is being handed out and he’s not included.
